I just want to reiterate that the development team is fully focused on making GW2 the best PC MMO ever released. We have a very small team exploring the possibility of console, but there are no definite plans for a console version at this time. The core of Guild Wars 2 development is fully focused on delivering a fantastic PC MMORPG experience.

Gelukkig maar, er valt veel te verdienen aan consoles, voor je het weet verschuifd de belangstelling naar consoles en krijg je een spel dat niet optimaal gebruik maakt van de pro's van de pc.

Kijk naar wat ze ten gunste van het console publiek gedaan hebben met codmw2, dat matchmaking systeem daar word je echt moe van!

Bijzonder op zijn minst.

Op zich lenen de de consoles zich er wel voor, maar dat zou betekenen dat mits GW voor de x360 komt dat het niet meer free to play. Echter voor de ps3 kan het online spelen wel weer gratis. Ik verwacht geen wii versie vanwege technische beperkingen.

Daarnaast vraag ik me af of de servers cross platform zijn en dus gekoppeld zijn. Als dit het geval is dan moet geen van de platforms een voordeel of nadeel hebben in bijv. PvP qua besturing.

Desalniettemin een interessante ontwikkeling. We wachten af.
